Navigating the six Gold Rooms in Order of the Sinking Star demands close cooperation across glowing regional boundaries.

Positioned between main territories, six specialized Gold Rooms unite differing game mechanics: HxM, MxS, HxB, SxB, HxS, and MxB, titled after Heroes, Mirrors, Stones, and Beamcasters. Within each room, a glowing seam divides the floor; each half maintains its native rules, requiring both characters to interact across the boundary to open exits and access internal Antipode teleporters.

Chambers incorporating the Mirror Isles rely on perpendicular reflection beams that swap objects at matching distances provided the destination tile is clear. In HxM, the Trader aligns a mirror into the courtyard, allowing Izzy to feed monsters into the beam to unlock the exit gate. In MxS, mirror beams transport the Sailor across water loops to dislodge a stone concealing the exit. In MxB, mirrors route purple light over the water, letting the Trader enter the ruins while the Explorer escapes out to the islands.

Other hybrid challenges demand cooperative environmental reshaping. In HxB, cyan beams reach past the seam so the Cleric can stand in the beam and push goblins. In SxB, stones skipped into water form a walkway for the Explorer, while green beam energy lets the Sailor pass through walls to reach opposite exits. In HxS, heroes trick a goblin into dragon fire, rolling crystals into the water so the Sailor can pave stepping stones toward swapped finish pads.
