Fields of Mistria: How to Get Animals and Build a Barn

Raising farm livestock in Fields of Mistria requires restoring the village mill, building a barn, and purchasing stock from Hayden's ranch.

Restoring the community mill is necessary to enable crafting animal feed for livestock. Once repaired, Hayden invites you to his house, explains animal husbandry, and opens his ranch for animal purchases. Next, head to the Carpenter's Shop located on The Eastern Road. Travel North from the farm to town, then walk East past the fountain to find Ryis and Landen's home. Walk right and interact with the shop sign, then navigate to the small red house icon tab to buy a small barn blueprint for 2,000 tesserae.

Building the barn requires 100 wood and 75 stone on ground cleared of stones, wood, or grass. Dropping the blueprint creates a workspace with a chest in front. Put the materials inside the chest, interact with the work bench on the left, choose 'Build', and pick a name. Early on, you will have access to chickens and cows, which are the most important options for livestock. Cows produce Milk daily, and cows at heart level eight or higher produce Golden Milk.
