Fields of Mistria: How to Cook Meals and Use Kitchens

Fields of Mistria Header
Gameplay telemetry and reference asset for Fields of Mistria.

Cooking in Fields of Mistria creates restorative dishes with enhanced healing and stamina recovery, giving you energy to remain active outside longer and accomplish more.

To begin cooking, you need access to a kitchen workstation. Beginners can utilize the free level one cooking station provided at the town inn. Players wanting a setup at home can purchase personal kitchens from the Carpenter Shop starting at 1,000 tesserae. There are three tiers of kitchens available to purchase over time, each supporting an increasingly wider range of culinary levels required to prepare higher-grade recipes.

Interacting with a kitchen opens the menu interface. All selectable dishes appear along the left side, where undiscovered recipes display a lock icon. The top-left square details necessary ingredients, with two numbers separated by a forward slash indicating your owned stock on the left versus the required count on the right. Two smaller boxes beneath denote the minimum kitchen level and culinary skill required. At the base of the interface, players can set their desired batch quantity and consult a timer showing the in-game minutes or hours required. You cannot cook if there is not enough daylight left in the day.

Ensure that all status numbers across the menu show green before beginning. If any figure glows red, you are missing something and cannot complete the dish.
